Second Annual Lake George Salt Summit
Monday, October 24, 2016 | 8:00am - 3:00pm
Fort William Henry Conference Center | Lake George, NY
This day-long program is free to attend and designed for public and private winter road maintenance professionals in Lake George and across the Adirondack region. The agenda features industry leaders on latest methods and equipment for safely reducing the use of road salt—considered the “acid rain of our time.” Visit http://fundforlakegeorge.org/saltsummit
Salt levels in Lake George - the hub of a $2 billion annual tourism economy - have tripled in the past 30 years due to road salt. Learn how the concerted work underway at Lake George to reduce salt use is establishing a model for how best to protect an ecosystem while keeping winter roads safe and saving money. This year’s conference expands to include dedicated breakout sessions for private and public applicators.
The 2nd Annual Save the Lake Salt Summit is made possible by the generosity of our event sponsors including: the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA), The FUND for Lake George, Arrowhead Equipment Inc., WIT Advisors, and the Lake George Watershed Coalition.
Complimentary light breakfast and lunch are provided for registered attendees.
