Doug Knott

Doug Knott, CSP

Doug Knott, CSP, is the owner of Knott's Land Care, LLC in Amherst, NH. He is a past Chair of SIMA's membership committee and a member of the certification committee. Doug joined SIMA in 2008 and has been active ever since. Doug was awarded SIMA's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2011. He has a B.A. from Magdalen College and MBA from the University of New Haven. Doug is an active Rotarian and a member of his local Planning Board.

Justin Gamester, CSP

Justin Gamester, CSP, is the President of Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service., a full service landscaping, tree and snow & ice management company servicing Maine and New Hampshire. He received the SIMA Certified Snow Professional (CSP), a professional designation earned by obtaining a minimum number of years in the industry and passing a comprehensive exam, in 2004. Piscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service. has been a SIMA member since 1999. With SIMA, he has served as Chair of the Membership Committee, been a member of the Education Committee, and has served as a SIMA Buddy & mentor. He has been a speaker at several SIMA educational programs, including the Snow & Ice Symposium. Justin earned his B.S. in business administration from the University of New Hampshire.

Carl Bolm, CSP

Carl Bolm, CSP, owns and operates 4 companies in the St. Louis Metro Area. BSR Services is a “snow-only” business that focuses on snow-specific commercial property service. As an industry leader, the company has more than 500 team members and uses state-of-the-art equipment, methods and expertise. Carl oversees all strategic processes involved with operating the proactive risk management business. BSR Services received the "Excellence in Business" award from SIMA in 2007 and 2011, and Carl was recently awarded the title of CEO of the Year 2014 by Snow Business magazine. He has been an active member and volunteer with SIMA for many years.

Laura Ingram, CSP

Laura Ingram, CSP, is the Director of Operations at Ingram Enterprises, Inc. The company is one of the oldest, largest and most experienced professional snow removal contractors in the Chicagoland area. Laura worked as a high school math teacher before deciding to join her father's company, which she will one day take over. Laura is also the Immediate Past President of her local IFMA chapter and has been on their Programming Committee since 2011. She was also on BOMA's Associate Committee in 2012. Laura was also voted "Associate Member of the Year" by her local IFMA chapter in 2012 and 2013. 


Mark Arthofer

Mark Arthofer, CSP

Mark Arthofer, CSP is the President of Skyline Construction located in Dubuque, IA. In addition to commercial snow and ice management services, Skyline Construction provides a variety of exterior services such as lawn care, concrete installation, power washing, trucking and parking lot cleaning. Skyline has been a SIMA member since 2012, with Mark achieving his CSP designation in 2016.


Rick Huffman

Rick Huffman, CSP

Rick Huffman, CSP, is the President of HLM Property Management in Rome, OH and is the past chair of SIMA's Education Advisory Board. Rick attended Ohio State University for sports turf management and earned his Certified Snow Professional designation in 2005. Rick is an active outdoorsman and dedicated community volunteer.

Paul Vanderzon, ASM

Paul Vanderzon is a sales representative for Metal Pless Inc and co-owner of Deneigement Vanderzon, he has 34 years of experience in the snow industry.  He is an active member of SIMA sitting on the Outreach Advisory Committee, is a SIMA Advisor, and Ambassador. In 2010 Paul Vanderzon was honoured with the SIMA Volunteer of the year award and through his other company, Entreneige, organized the largest snow only tradeshow in Canada.

Wayne Michalak, CSP

Wayne Michalak, CSP, is the President/Owner of The Greener Side, Inc., in Inkster, MI. Wayne has been working in the green and snow industry since 1988 and founded The Greener Side, Inc. in 1993. He has volunteered his time to be a Deacon at his church, is a member of the Michigan Green Industry Association and has been a speaker at SIMA educational events. 


Kent Peddie, CSP

Kent Peddie, CSP, owns and operates Precision Snow Removal in Ottawa, Ontario. He was looking for a summer job while at university and decided to start his own hardscaping company in 1992.  Pressed by an employee looking for year-round work, he began snow plowing a few years later. Precision now specializes in challenging residential, condominium and small commercial properties and utilizes a fleet of 30 skid-steer loaders as well as tractors, plow trucks and dump trucks.

Kent has served on SIMA's Outreach Committee and has also volunteered many hours assisting onsite for events throughout past Symposiums. Precision was a recipient of the Safety Award in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017. Kent also served as a board member for Landscape Ontario - Ottawa Chapter and the Ottawa Snow Contractors' Association. 


Mark Schlutt

Mark Schlutt, CSP

Mark Schlutt, CSP, is the CEO of M.A.A.C. Property Services in Niles, MI. Mark founded the company in 1998 and is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in commercial and residential grounds maintenance. He is actively involved in the business, overseeing strategic planning, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and operations.

In addition to being a Certified Snow Professional (CSP), he is a Certified Pesticide Applicator, and holds a Commercial Driver’s License in Category A and B.



Jonathan Crandall, CSP

Jonathan Crandall, CSP is the Chief Visionary of JC Grounds Management, a commercial landscaping and snow removal management company in Danvers, MA. Jonathan entered into the world of entrepreneurship 21 years ago; starting the company in high school mowing neighborhood lawns. As the years went on, the company evolved as commercial only and snow service focused. Jonathan is motivated to continue to grow and learn which has been exhibited through his involvement in organizations such as Entrepreneur’s Organization, serving as the Boston chapter president in 2011-12. He is also an active member of Strategic Coach, SIMA, ASCA and multiple industry mastermind groups. He has dedicated his time to furthering his knowledge in the snow industry science, and constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency, incorporate new technology, and better serve his customers, as well as, how to scale processes to a larger sized organization.  



Mark Adamson

Mark Adamson has been involved in the Green Industry for 30 years. As a manager for John Deere Company responsible for dealer sales networks and distribution for over two decades, he has developed effective skills in communications and relationship selling. Mark obtained his MBA from Duke University with an emphasis in marketing. For the last 8 years Mark has been the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Douglas Dynamics, leaders in snow and ice control and manufacturers of Blizzard, Fisher, and Western brands.
