We look forward to welcoming you to the 20th Annual Snow & Ice Symposium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Montreal is the largest city in Quebec and is predominantly french-speaking (francophone). However, most residents do speak English. It is a city rich in culture and summer is one of the best times to visit!

Montreal is only 46 miles from the US Border. It is 20 minutes from Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). For more information on travel options from the airport to downtown Montreal or if you are driving to Montreal, please review your options on getting to Montreal below. 

If you haven't already done so, make sure your passport is up-to-date to travel to Montreal. If you need to renew, or don't have a passport, you will want to start the process now. Most attendees only need a passport, but please take the time to read through entrance requirements and local laws that may affect your entrance, stay and departure from Canada. 


Hyatt Regency Montreal

They Hyatt Regency is SIMA's host hotel in 2017. The host hotel is the best location for networking with other attendees, plus it's only a couple blocks from the Palais des Congres de Montreal. Staying at the Hyatt creates easy access to events such as the Welcome Reception, Awards Night and Networking Reception which are held at the hotel.

Room Rate:

$219 CAD/night (single and double rooms), plus applicable state, local and occupancy taxes (currently 18.5%). 

Hotel Policies:
A deposit of one night's stay is required to hold each reservation. Should you cancel, the deposit will be refunded if notice is received at least 72 hours prior to date of arrival and cancellation number is obtained. If you book early and decide not to attend, please cancel before May 27th so other attendees can book within the block.
